 I used CRN almost weekly while out of work and active networking for about eight weeks until I found work.

 I found nothing lacking in CRN’s format and cannot think of anything to improve upon it.

 Meeting people at CRN eventually, through several degrees of connectedness, led to a job. It also put me in the proper “mindset” for successful job hunting.

Hi Doug,

As you know I recently started a new job at Aequitas Capital Management. I want to thank you and CRN for helping me during my transition. It was a long journey (1 year) but being part of CRN and its leadership team truly helped.

As a team oriented individual, I definitely felt out of sorts during my job search since I was no longer employed and part of a team. Volunteering to be on the CRN Leadership Team turned out to be just what I needed. I was given specific responsibilities on the Programs team and was able to collaborate with Kari, you, Ron and the rest of the group on helping to make the CRN experience great for everyone. We sat in meetings, mapped out processes and made things happen. This activity helped me keep my skills sharp and also made me feel like I was part of something that was helping the lives of others. Giving back is very satisfying.

As we all know being a job seeker can be lonely as we spend time on our computers and many times, alone with our thoughts. CRN gave me the opportunity to be more than that…to be part of a team that always appreciated the work that I did. Thanks for being so welcoming and for be a strong leader that keeps everyone focused on what needs to be done. I hope to stay active with CRN as it’s not just about job seeking but also career advancement.

Finally know that because of you I chose Happiness Every Day during my journey! (Well most days anyway.) That simple mantra that you always espouse made a big difference in my life as I began everyday thinking…”I’m choosing happiness today!”

Thanks again Doug…for everything! Give my best to the Leadership Team and the rest of the gang at CRN.

Hi Everyone – I want to let everyone know that I got a job today, I also want to let you all know how much your encouragement, prayers, willingness to help, support when I needed it most, etc., etc., have meant to me. I don’t think I’ve ever before met a group of people this supportive and informative; it really has meant and continues to mean the world to me!… I really appreciate all the support and information I received at CRN! If/when I get down to a 40-hour week, I may be back!

Really enjoyed attending the CRN meeting today.  Very worthwhile and informative.  The guest speaker, Steve Fulmer was excellent and inspiring.  I liked the exercises he put us through. Anyway, thanks for the invite and I’ll definitely plan on coming to more meetings.
